Topiary Garden

Can you believe summer is almost over? It’s definitely still out here, but September is just around the corner. Even though fall is my favorite season, I feel like I still have a ton of summer outfits I want to post (probably a sign that I have too many clothes). I actually bought this dress last year, but I just can’t get enough of the bright colors (AND it has pockets)

These photos were taken at the Topairy Garden, it was created to mimic George Seurat’s famous painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grande Jatte.

“The Topiary Park is a landscape of a painting of a landscape. … If an artist can paint a picture of a landscape — art mimicking nature — then why not a sculptor creating a landscape of a work of art — nature mimicking art? The topiary garden is both a work of art and a work of nature. It plays upon the relationships between nature, art and life.”

— James T. Mason, sculptor and creator
of the topiary garden

This weekend was CD101 Summerfest, my friend came to visit and we got to see some amazing bands, by far the best though was Matt and Kim, they put on an incredible show, seriously, possibly one of the best I’ve ever seen
