The Conservatory: Take 1

_1090732Until yesterday, I hadn’t been to the Franklin Park Conservatory. Paul recommended we check it out and take some pictures there, and it was, to say the least, awesome. We walked around outside and in, and took a ton of pictures (read as: I literally changed 5 times). The conservatory has a bunch of different exhibits, each designed to imitate various biomes from around the world. These photos are the first in the series,  taken in the ‘desert’ and ‘Japanese garden’.._1090770_1090832

_1090761Our plans to spend the day shooting were almost foiled by the discovery of a leak in our apartment yesterday morning, and I guess when I say leak, what I really mean is a flood from upstairs coming through our lights. Luckily, nothing was ruined, and emergency maintenance made it out in a timely manner to fix the problem (though, it definitely sucks that they had to come in on a Sunday). _1090825 _1090751We just can’t pass up reflective photo ops..

  1. need to get your address, went thru my cherry chest and found 2 vintage sweaters, one a vest and the other a short sleeved sweater. they may be a challenge or a toss out. the one dress i have washed and hope you can do something great that i see on your web sight. the second dress is a hand embroidered yellow sun dress with a jacket. rami cotton that i probably never wore. i washed it also. i bought the material in the philippines in the late 70’s or early 80’s and our dress maker made it. it is very pretty. barbara wants to look at it but i think it will be big on her. its a rainy windy week, something like we had about 5 yrs. ago. feel bad since barbara and family are vacationing here this week. gp has i think a flu bug, seems to be feeling better this evening. hope you are loving your new job. did you get totally moved, big adjustment. lots of changes in your life. be safe and take care of yourself. hugs and love gm.
